Start the Course

The COVID-19 Pandemic has brought infection control to the forefront for the entire world. Although the basic principles of infection control haven’t changed, COVID-19 has brought about significant changes in policies, protocols, and advancements in products within the dental setting. In addition, the State of Washington recently enacted infection control education and training mandates for dental personnel as well as added new requirements for infection control protocol and procedures. In this presentation, updates in infection prevention, and the components of WAC 246-817-601 will be presented to help ensure the safest dental visit. This course will meet the initial and annual training requirements for dental health care providers under WAC 246-817-615.

At the conclusion of the session, participants will learn to:

  • Integrate CDC Guidelines and COVID-19 Interim Guidelines to reduce risk to your employees, patients, and yourself
  • Discuss the recently adopted requirements for infection control within the State of Washington
  • Identify up-to-date and reliable infection control resources for future reference
