Maureen Finneran has been working for the Foundation since 2014 and is part of the Health Systems Integration team. Her focus includes building community support for addressing oral health through local cross-sector collaboration and supporting the National Interprofessional Initiative on Oral Health. Maureen previously worked at the American Academy of Pediatrics national office where she was the Manager for Community-based Initiatives and managed grant programs to support pediatricians to work within their communities to improve child health. Throughout her career, which started as a VISTA AmeriCorps volunteer, Maureen’s work has focused on her passion – bringing people together and changing systems to address inequity.
Maureen received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and has her BA in social work from Seattle University. After living in Chicago for 8 years, Maureen is embracing life in the Pacific Northwest where she can be found biking around Seattle, trying a new restaurant, rock climbing, playing in the snow, volunteering as a Big Sister, or planning her next adventure.
