Maureen Finneran has been working for the Foundation since 2014, and her focus includes engaging communities to address oral health through local cross-sector collaboration and supporting the National Interprofessional Initiative on Oral Health. Maureen previously worked at the American Academy of Pediatrics national office where she was the Manager for Community-based Initiatives and managed grant programs to support pediatricians to work within their communities to improve child health. Throughout her career, which started as a VISTA AmeriCorps volunteer, Maureen’s work has focused on her passion – bringing people together and changing systems to work towards equity.
Maureen received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and has her BA in social work from Seattle University. Maureen loves to explore the Pacific Northwest, where she can be found biking, trying a new restaurant, playing in the snow, volunteering as a Big Sister, tending to the garden, birdwatching, or planning her next travel adventure.
