Nicole Hood is the Program Manager for Arcora Foundation’s growth in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, working to create a program that builds capacity for in-depth conversations through learning opportunities, equitable operations and approach to partnerships. Working in this capacity gives her opportunities to approach strategy with a creative problem-solving and design thinking lens. Previously, Nicole worked with Delta Dental of Washington to build the initial DentistLink Pilot, a tool focused on connecting individuals on Medicaid with dental care. Her past work includes cross-functional experience in independent organizational roles such as creating the role of Registrar for a local Fashion Academy, running an independent clothing alterations business from home, and working in IT Purchasing and Asset Management for the Port of Seattle and Amazon. With experience in corporate, public, small business, creative, and nonprofit settings, she understands the need for community members of all backgrounds to access quality healthcare.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from George Fox University. She has also earned a Certificate of Mastery in Fashion Design and Construction from New York Fashion Academy. In her non-work hours, she is planning dinner parties, investing in her local community as a church deacon, reading several books at a time, and continuing to work on her independent fashion designs.
