Senior Director, Programs & Policy
Kristen West Fisher, Senior Director for Programs and Policy, is responsible for designing and stewarding the investment of foundation resources and staff time to create better well-being for everyone at less cost. Kristen has six years of experience in health philanthropy and over twenty years of executive level experience in health care delivery transformation, legislative relations, population health improvements and addressing social determinants of health to reduce disparities. Kristen’s extensive health care experience includes leading the creation of multiple community non-profits that are still going strong, including CHOICE Regional Health Network, Spokane Tribe Network, Family Impact Network, Better Health Together and Communities Joined in Action. She has also served on many statewide boards, including Building Changes, Prescription Drug Assistance Foundation and Washington Health Alliance.
Kristen describes herself as a social justice advocate – working with many partners to challenge the “status quo” health and human service systems to profoundly improve quality, expand access and eliminate health disparities. She holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in political Science and Business Administration from the Evergreen State College. When at her home in Spokane she can be found in her art studio, working with glass or painting.
