Senior Program Officer
Karen Lewis joined the Foundation in 2010 to lead strategic initiatives related to improving oral health for older adults. Since then, her role as Senior Program Officer has expanded and includes building strong Local Impact Networks to create local solutions to improve community health. Karen also manages the Foundation’s ADA-accredited continuing dental education program, which designs and hosts a variety high quality and free learning opportunities for the dental provider community of Washington state.
Karen received her bachelor’s degree in Health Education and Biology from Central Washington University and her Certificate in Technical Writing and Editing from the University of Washington. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist. When Karen is not working to increase access to dental care, she likes to spend time with her family traveling, hiking, cooking, and entertaining.
