MCOs have shared a Prior Authorization Services reference guide for Behavioral Health providers. This guide shows prior authorization requirements and length of authorization by service type across the different MCOs.

HCA Guidance on Prior Auth Process from Correctional Facility to Residential – added 03/27/29
HCA has released the IMC Service Encounter Reporting Instructions (SERI), with an effective date of July 1, 2019. Providers will still be able to bill under the old SERI guidelines until that date.
Note the hyperlinks on the procedure modifiers page are not working at this time. HCA is working to correct these links and plan to get a revised version out soon.

HCA and Manatt are seeking feedback on their proposed VBP Toolkit Outline. Specifically they are looking for feedback on the following:
Utility of proposed suite of VBP (Value Based Payment) TA tools and resources
Identification of VBP TA tools that are most valuable
Roles of provider-supporting entities and the modes of delivering VBPtechnical assistance or other foundational support, including training

The MCOs have put together a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) grid compiling provider questions from various regions and the MCOs’/HCA’s responses.
The MCOs also put together an IMC FAQ Summary of the most repeated questions with MCO-aligned answers.

*Note: This is the first version of the FAQ – the MCO group will continue to update the FAQ grid as they receive additional questions. Additionally, they are still working on responses to some of the questions in the grid and those responses will be added to later iterations of the FAQ. The grid only includes questions asked through the end of September, so some of the blanks will be filled in based on questions received after Sept. 30 and during the Symposiums.
