Karri Amundson
Senior Program Officer
Karri joined the Foundation in 2001 and traveled six years with the SmileMobile providing dental care to underserved children across Washington. She currently serves as the Foundation’s liaison in local communities, creating oral health awareness, engaging and exploring opportunities to build local partnerships. She is passionate about children and their families, oral health, and more specifically, teeth (A – T and 1 – 32). Karri has previous experience as an early childhood preschool teacher, nanny, and dental assistant in community health and private settings. Karri’s passion for oral health drives her work with the SmileMobile team, clinical operations, volunteer dental professionals, and community organizations to educate, provide treatment, and connect children, teens and pregnant people to regular dental care.
Karri received her Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education from Lane Community College and Dental Assisting Certificate from Highline Community College. When Karri is not thinking about teeth, she enjoys hiking, reading, drinking coffee, and spending time with family and friends.
