At the conclusion of the self-paced course, participants will:
- Understand the liability associated with not treating a pregnant person.
- Distinguish the assessments and treatments that can safely be delivered to a pregnant person.
- Recognize how pregnancy physiology relates to oral health risk.
- Apply the national prenatal oral care guidelines to the delivery of dental care and services in a pregnant person.
- Acquire the knowledge and tools to safely provide the standard of care to a pregnant person.
