The Census determines how billions of dollars in federal funding are distributed each year—including funding for health care, schools, community programs, and more. We Count Washington’s latest campaign, We’re Here. We Count., is “a community-wide effort to increase the self-response rate among historically undercounted populations across our region. [Their] goal is to support communities with customizable tools and resources, so they can focus on the direct community outreach that will have the biggest impact.”
While we are disappointed by the recent rollback of the Census deadline to September 30, we are grateful for organizations like We Count Washington, whose work ensures that everyone is counted, with no one left behind.
